Subhash Chandra Bose’s first act of resistance against the British was an assault on Professor Oaten at Presidency College. Professor was accused of making anti-India remarks and manhandling Indian students. Bose was expelled from college, notwithstanding the formal appeal that he had not participated in the assault

He was imprisoned eleven times in various jails between 1921 and 1941 due to his struggle for complete independence. His anti-British efforts often resulted in him being imprisoned, but this never discouraged him.

In 1923, Bose became the President of the All-India Youth Congress, and in 1938, he was elected President of the Congress. In 1939, he had a falling out with Congress and was removed from his leadership post because he and Gandhi disagreed on combatting the British.

Netaji worked as an editor for the Forward newspaper, which Bengali politician Chittaranjan Das owned. Later, he founded and published his newspaper, Swaraj, and a book called The Indian Struggle.

On August 18, 1945, Netaji supposedly died in a Japanese aviation crash near Taiwan. His death is still unknown because no body was found, and only some ashes were brought back to Japan. His death has long been a mystery, with theories circulating that he never died and instead lived in Russia and, later, India. The alleged plane crash isn’t even mentioned in Taiwanese records
